Честно, я не знаю, что означает Статус 1993-01-05 US5176553A Grant.
Может он уже протух, но Чинук по инерции клепает то, что он делал 15 лет назад....

грант означает:
US Patent (issue/grant)
On successful prosecution (including, compliance of all requirements of the relevant statute, payment of fees etc.), an application is issued a grant after which the application is known as US Patent.
Scope: US Patent an enforceable document in USA. That is, it gives a right to the inventor to stop others from making/using the invention and to file an infringement suit against an infringer (till the end of the patent term or till the time it is maintained by paying maintenance fees- whichever is earlier).
Т.е. патент в действии, и товарищ Лоренц Таттл может запретить делать/использовать/продавать таттлы кому-либо. Только с его согласия.
