Dear board builders,
this is an official request to supply us with measurement data of the current boards in order to make them public and thus enable sailors to check their boards before the worlds in China.
I believe you are all aware of the situation at the recent European Championships in Gizzeria, were a number of sailors has been disqualified because the boards were not found to be the same as the originally provided design by the builder.
Up till now, we have only requested building data that covers the back part of the board, especially fin box positions and bottom width at the fin boxes. We had no builder supplied data from the front section of the board.
However, the class rules require equipment to be series production, which means that all boards must have the same measurements in every respect within reasonable manufacturing tolerances.
The builders contract furthermore requires brands to supply such equipment to the highest possible degree of uniformity in every respect.
To avoid a situation like at the European Championships, we have to enable sailors to check their boards as far as possible for class rule compliance.
We have therefore developed a new measurement sheet that we ask you to complete and send back to us as soon as possible. Even if you can only take a couple of measurements (especially width and bottom width) it would help.
We will publish such measurements before the worlds to enable sailors to check their equipment against the builder provided data.
For future registration cycles we will require all brands to supply us such data. After the registration deadline (to avoid copying designs) these parameters will be published - everybody can go in a shop and buy a board and measure it then anyway, so the data is not secret anymore. We will also request rockersticks and bottom/rail jigs from all builders for quick checks at the events.
Please send us the attached form 1b back as soon as possible - we can then publish the data. Otherwise we will need to recommend to the sailors to contact the manufacturers with non-public measurement data individually.

Это только мне кажется, что здесь о том, что оборудование должно быть в некоем листе?
Или о том, что оно еще должно быть серийным, продакшн, оборудованием и тд. (в прямом смысле этих слов)?
